HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (139, 170, 3501) — Particle Magic (Roxy Particles + 1Earthling Rang) premiered their new installation Colour Your World today. They describe the installation as “music, media, particles”. Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (117, 200, 3505) — View from the mezzanine. Opening attendees who need a break from the intensity of the dance floor can find a quiet lounge suspended above the dance floor. 1:32 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (117, 200, 3505) — The mezzanine offers a wonderful overview of the installation, but to fully experience Particle Magic’s Colour Your World there’s no substitute for immersion on the dance floor. 1:33 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (116, 202, 3505) — Dancing with Betty Tureaud. Let me say now that while this post should be about Particle Magic’s immersive excursion into the phenomenal realm, it’s actually mostly about me dancing with people. I haven’t seen Betty in ages. But I’ve always gotten her notices. She has an installation up now and a new one in production. I can’t ever recall a time when Betty didn’t have at least one installation open and another in production. It’s a heroically long run in virtuality. 1:41 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (104, 193, 3505) — Dancing with Senna Coronet. I met him here at the Hannington Endowment on Sunday for the opening of his photography show Optik. Senna applied geometric gels (textures) to SL projectors to project patterns on avatar bodies. 1:58 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
GOOD LIFE CREATIONS SANDBOX, Varney (172, 150, 24) — I bought Senna Coronet’s photograph Meg Swirl 3 at his opening on Sunday. At the time I thought it would be a wonderful piece when I redecorated the summer home. Then I remembered that I don’t actually have a summer home. So I rezzed it in the sandbox. Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (105, 194, 3505) — Dancing with Senna Coronet and Lyndzay Meili. I mentioned to Senna that Particle Magic’s work reminded me of the old Tuna Oddfellow shows. He hadn’t been to a Tuna show, so I gave him a video link. His friend Lyndzay had been to Tuna shows and he introduced us. 2:16 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)

HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (116, 195, 3505) — Dancing with Hannington Endowment curator Tansee. Tansee explained to me that a a year or more ago when it was announced that the Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA) Artist in Residence (AIR) regions would be shut down that she put out a desperate call to see if there were others who wanted to try to salvage some of LEA’s tremendous contributions to virtual arts. The bad news: only one person replied. The good news: that person was Hannington Xeltentat and he told her that he had 6,000 prims he wasn’t using. Friends with Prims! (FwP) Months later, The Hannington Endowment was born. 2:23 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (112, 203, 3505) — Dancing with Roxy Particles and 1Earthling Rang (Particle Magic). Not only do the floor, walls, and seemingly the entire environment carry their streaming visual elements, but so do their clothes and their hair. 2:45 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (139, 170, 3501) — when you’re too tired to keep dancing, you can always take a break up in the mezanine. 3:02 pm SLT, Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (116, 195, 3505) — Particle Magic’s recommended graphic settings for viewing media and video particles. Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
HANNINGTON ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS, Xeltentat Enterprises (116, 195, 3505) — Particle Magic’s artist’s statement for Colour Your World. Tuesday, 16 June 2020. (Vanessa Blaylock/Medici University)
