A 1:18 Minute Video ~ Setting Up Art Farm
A few scenes of some of the early happenings of Art Farm Co-op.

The Generatives, glitch, and gifs opening was held on Friday, June 5th. It was a nice event and there was a good turnout. The artists talked about their work and it was an opportunity for others on the campus and off to meet them.
Thank you everyone who helped with this event, loaned their work to the aspiring gallery, and attended this event. A special thanks to the artists – Pearl Grey, FeelsEmpty, Elle Thorkveld, and Michael Green – and to Oona for building the gallery.
The show will run through June 15. Please stop by if you haven’t had a chance to see the show. After that, I’ll try to do one last show, probably machinima.
Here are some pics from the event:
Great article Myra 🙂 The show was a great success I think. I’ll be sad when June ends, I love MUGA a lot.
Great write up & love the pics, Myra. It was a fun opening, thanks to my fellow artists and all who attended for making it that way! And thank you to Myra for curating & facilitating this exhibit and to Oona for all her gallery building. Excellent work.
I recall participating on one of Feels Empty’s Step Art creations. Fun! Great exhibit.
thanks so much, everyone. It’s official, now. I want your movies. We’ll figure out how to upload and host them.
Great work Myra – congratulations on a strong gallery show. And congrats to all participants! Making MU vibrant…
Thank you so much, Marie. So many people made this happen – Elle, Feels, Oona, Michael, Pearl. I was thrilled it turned out as well as it did.
Nice post, Izzy! You write delicious prose.
aww, thankies Neeva! You stack delicious prims.
It’s not a mesh vs prims issue. Secondlife needs to update its building tools so you can create mesh in-world.
The all-new MU/Stories section of MU/Creativity is really rockin it! Check out:
• Lucia & the Slepford Zombies by Pearl Grey
• Long Distance Relationship a photo essay by Feels Empty
and much, much more!!!
Five writers participated in the story boards for the second half of April.
Feels Empty
Oona
Edie Sedgwick (!?)
Elle Thorkveld
Astrid Rimbaud
You can find links to what they’ve written at the bottom of this post.
This was fun! Hope you do it again!
Always love these, I look forward to the next one. 🙂
Yay Elle. Congrats!
Congratulations Elle, it has been fun visiting your installations at MU as well as at the Cyber Art sim.
thanks for everything Elle
totally agree
Thank you very much everyone! 🙂
The best part of receiving the Big Avatar On Campus Award is being able to choose the next winner, and I choose Pearl Grey. I had been reading her blog, Million Happy Endings, for a long time, so I was happy to find her at MU. She now has a second blog to describe her adventures here. I have especially enjoyed her storyboard contests. If she is not in her studio, you might meet her at the Tai Chi place at MU. In honor of her writing skills, I added a pencil to the trophy. Congratulations, Pearl!
Congratulations Pearl!
Thank you Veyot!
Are there photos? Of the trophy? Of handing it over?
Visuals Please!! 😀
And Congratulations!!!
Thanks everyone!
Yay pearl! Love your super writing powers and all your collaborative ideas!
Thank you for your kindness and creativity Pearl! It’s great to be inspired by you.
Great choice. Pearl is a cosistant contributor to the campus community and a fine photographer and writer. I’m really pleased to see her recognized. Congratulations Pearl!
Another great choice! Congratulations Pearl, well deserved
Yay, congrats Pearl!
Great choice! Congratulations, Pearl!

“But try to exchange something. And never worry about “losing” something. The most meaningful things in life cannot be lost by sharing. They can only become even more precious.”
<3 What a beautiful series of words strung together. I will add, I think I’m settled and not ready to move again for about a month. 😛
I’ve been considering different ways that I can exchange at MU, including the learners I’ve never met or that I see around and never talk to. Feel free to contact me with any ideas.
Anyway, I’ve been mulling over some ideas to do a blog post regarding Bad Ryan’s Agent of Chaos post called “Why Bother?” I just reread it and noticed that comments have been activated six hours ago.
/me points at it.
Hey Pearl 🙂 I’d love hear that blog post about Bad Ryan. 🙂
As for exchanging with other learners, I enjoy trying to find new ppl to meet that I haven’t before. Its not always easy it seems and sometimes my fear of rejection works its way up into my head, but overall – I’ve had few problems and many surprises. And…. I think I’ve made some of the best connections I’ve ever made anywhere else in Second Life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, MU is one of my fav places ever for what its about, what it gives and who is here. Its a hidden gem. 🙂
I agree Oona; it’s a hidden gem. And I’ve made a few great connections that will last longer than MU.
I’ve kept my invitations to collaborate simple to make them more do-able and I’ve had to say no to some because they’re beyond what I can do.
The rejection part is a little scary, I know. Who wants to feel like an interloper?
I’ve found that being on the sim at different times of the night and day when possible can result in pleasant surprises.
So, uh, I really hope I don’t have to sing Britney for karaoke night, again!
But, uh… I’ve written a blog post:
Good Ryan:
• agent of change / feminine energy
Actually, um… I wrote two…
Bad Ryan:
• agent of chaos / why bother?
Good and Bad…. hmmm split personality or what! We shall see which side wins out.
I read them both and have made a secret bet with myself which one will win.

Great job Pearl! 🙂

Lovely video, Pearl!

What a beautiful look at the people and projects going on at Art Farm! Thank you Pearl!
BTW, if you just paste the video URL (Vimeo or YouTube) on a blank line, then it’ll embed right here on MU/Talk. (sometimes with Vimeo you have to take the “s” out of “https://”

I’m away from my computer, but really looking forward to seeing this!

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I’m here because of community and collaboration. Without that, I might as well just work on my projects elsewhere.
